Things I wish I’d known sooner in life
Follow your heart, not the path that was laid out for you by expectation or tradition. This life is yours alone, and there is no one “right” way to live it.
You really can become what you’re meant to be when you stay true to yourself and are willing to put in the time to learn. Success doesn’t come in one shape, and it certainly isn’t defined by a degree or a title. 📚
Travel whenever you can. See the world, experience other cultures, and learn how life looks through someone else’s eyes. And if you have children, bring them along—those shared memories matter more than things. 🌍
If someone ever asks why you’re dressed up, the answer can simply be, “Because it makes me feel alive.” You don’t need permission to enjoy what brings you joy. Some days that looks like staying in pajamas, and other days it means curling your hair, wearing bold lipstick, and putting on your favorite jewelry. Both are valid. 💄✨
Don’t waste your energy tearing others down. Negativity usually points to places within ourselves that still need healing. When you’re brave enough to look inward, that’s where real growth begins. 🖤
No matter where you fit in—or if you don’t—keep being yourself. Your people will find you when you’re living honestly. 🤍
Not everyone will like you, and that’s okay. You weren’t meant to be for everyone.
Wake up each day as yourself. Do what lights you up from the inside out. That’s what makes you shine. 🌈
